SHINPIDEN Third Degree (Advanced) Stage 1

The Shinpiden Third Degree is the first stage towards becoming a teacher of Reiki. Stage 1 is the non-teaching level which empowers those who participate to attune others to Reiki. During this two day workshop, participants also learn many advanced techniques for healing.

Perhaps one of the most powerful experiences of this class is the attunement for the Third Degree. Here, one’s Reiki ability is dramatically enhanced. The Third Degree attunement bestows the ability to give Reiki attunements for the first and second degree levels. This not only enables a much stronger Reiki connection, it opens the door to greater spiritual awakening, like never before.

Participants also receive the Fourth Reiki symbol. This symbol is known as the ‘Great Light’ or ‘Master Symbol’ and is the key to awakening the Reiki ability in others. All participants learn the inner secret rituals that enable this connection, which has numerous benefits for oneself as well as those who receive it.

The following is a general outline of what is covered during this class:
  • Instruction and practice of the original Shoden, Okuden and Shinpiden techniques
  • Instruction in the 4 Shoden Attunements and the 3 Okuden Attunements
  • Receive the four Reiki symbols, their origins, usage and each symbols' spiritual description.
  • Learn how to perform Reiju (Japanese Reiki empowerments).
  • Learn how to facilitate the Japanese attunements and breath empowerment.
  • Receive the Usui Reiki Ryoho Third Degree attunement.
  • Receive the Third Degree Master symbol and learn its significance.
  • Learn how to facilitate multiple Reiju (empowerment procedures).
  • Learn how to perform distance attunements.
  • Learn how to attune yourself to Reiki for personal growth, purification and spiritual development.
In addition to receiving and learning the Reiki attunments and Third Degree symbol, participants also expore the following techniques:
  • Ketsueki Kokan-ho – A traditional method for clearing energies in the body.
  • Sekizui Joka Ibuki-ho – A traditional method for cleansing the spine.
Participants will also receive a further four Mudras, which are utilized during the Reiki attunements.
These include:
  • The Mudra for Consecration
  • The Mudra for Sealing Reiki attunements
  • The Mudra for Concentration and Balance
  • The Mudra for awakening the internal energies and radiating the Reiki energy to others.
Duration: Weekend: two days – 9:30am to 4:30pm. On the Saturday of the class arrival time is 9:15am (15 minutes before start time) This is in order to complete your registration, settle the balance of your tuition fees and settle into the class environment.

Bring: a note pad and pen; a water bottle; an open heart and mind; a sense of humour.

Wear: Comfortable clothing. In summer, dress light. In winter, warm socks and a light shawl or sweater is recommended.

Breaks: There will be a 15 minute morning tea break (around 11am) where morning tea will be supplied by us.
Lunch is for 1 hour (around 1pm-2pm). Afternoon tea break is generally a shorter break than the morning break (10 minutes) and will be held around 3:30pm.

Preparations: The workshop is an opportunity to go deep. It is therefore recommended to keep the night prior (Friday), the night during (Saturday) and night concluding (Sunday) quiet and relaxing. Try not to plan big parties but instead use the time to relax, nurture yourself and go within. It is also recommended that you do not drink Alcohol ( 1 standard drink is OK) nor take any recreational drugs as this will not support the Reiki Attunements and the process underway. We do recommend you drink plenty of water, get a good night's sleep and enjoy yourself.

Maximum Participants:
No more than 12.

Manual: 30 pages

Accreditation: 100 hours Clinical Practice/Assessment.

Attendance Certificate: All Shinpiden participants receive a Certificate of Attendance at the end of the workshop. This Certificate does not authorize the participant to be a teacher. This Certificate states that you have attended the Shinpiden workshop (stage one) and received the necessary Reiki Attunements

Completion Certificate: Having completed a Shinpiden workshop, a Completion Certificate is available for those students who wish to further their training into a recognised qualification. In order to achieve this, each participant must complete 100 hours of Reiki Treatments and/or Seminar participation. These 100 hours include seminar reviews and clinic treatments. If the student has a desire to begin the second stage or Fourth Degree, seminar participation and assisting the Instructor becomes part of this training apprenticeship.

Once a total of 100 hours has been tallied, these hours are submitted to the IIRT Director for assessment. A Completion Certificate is then issued, granting the qualification of an IIRT approved and Certified Third Degree Master Practitioner.

Training Fees: The Training fee for the Shinpiden Third Degree (stage 1) is $1540, inc GST. Each workshop requires a non-refundable deposit of $500 to secure your place. Deposits are required by each participant 7 days prior to the commencement of the workshop. All deposits are non-refundable and are non-transferable.
